Luxxury
Luxxury is my band. I write the songs, sing, play the instruments and produce and mix everything blah blah blah me me me yawn. When the band plays live, I invite my friends who play other instruments to join me, because one man bands are boring to watch. Luxxury dot com is really awesome looking thanks to the rad photos by Hadley Hudson and the designers and programming geniuses at Cuban Council.

In January 2004 I put out “The Drunk EP” on my own record label, Nolita Records. It sold out and a label in Chicago called OmegaPoint picked it up and re-released it to rather nice reviews. In 2006 I finished my first full length record called “Rock and Roll (is Evil)”, with amazing cover art by my friend Jeremy Blake and the most amazing and moving liner notes by my friend Theresa Duncan, and put it out on Nolita. Some rather nice things were said about the album, such as:
“Unbelievably addictive… 14 stunning anthems of pure balls out disco fury. A dazzling album.” - Subba Cultcha, London
“Four and a half stars. One of the finds of the year. ” - Synthpop.net, London
“Danceable rock music with a dash of pure sex. Instantly addictive.” - Aiding + Abetting, Chicago
“New Order and David Bowie in the penthouse with The Faint.” - Electrocore.com, LA
“Pure, decadent goodness.” - Splendid.com, NYC

In late 2006 Luxxury toured the UK for a month, made a video for “Sweet and Vicious” in London,
We also did a quick West Coast tour with Dirty Sanchez. In 2007 I put the band on hold to learn focus on remixing and DJing. That year Luxxury’s song “Drunk” was used in a Pontiac commercial, while the song “Sweet and Vicious” was used on MTV’s “The Hills.” At the end of 2007 I signed a publishing deal with Razor and Tie and signed an EP deal with RCRD LBL.

It’s early 2008 and now that I’m done with all the remixes I made for other people, I’m working on my next Luxxury album. It is tentatively entitled “Baron von Luxxury is My Fake Name.”
